Salience is now a LinkedIn Ads Certified Agency

Salience is now a LinkedIn Ads Certified Agency. LinkedIn launched the program in May 2026 as the first agency-level credential in its advertising ecosystem, and it recognises agencies that run LinkedIn Ads to the platform's own standards for account setup, billing and team training.

LinkedIn is where most of our clients' buyers spend their working attention, so it has been central to how we plan B2B campaigns for years. Having LinkedIn assess that work and sign it off gives our clients an independent measure of the people managing their spend.

What LinkedIn actually assesses

The certification looks at the agency as a whole, so it reflects how every account is set up and managed across the team. LinkedIn checks three things:

  1. A properly configured Business Manager, the structure that connects ad accounts, company pages and team permissions in one place.
  2. Monthly invoicing, so media billing runs cleanly and transparently through the platform.
  3. Team certification, with the required number of our Business Manager users holding current LinkedIn Marketing Academy certifications across campaign strategy, targeting, optimisation and performance measurement.

The first two are operational details, and they shape the client experience directly. A well-structured Business Manager means clients keep ownership of their ad accounts and data, access is permissioned and easy to audit, and handovers happen cleanly when people change roles on either side. Monthly invoicing keeps media spend separate, visible and easy to reconcile at month end. These are the foundations that let a CFO or board sign off a LinkedIn budget with confidence.

Why LinkedIn earns a bigger share of B2B budgets

B2B buying has become longer and more crowded. Dreamdata's 2026 benchmarks put the average B2B customer journey at 272 days, involving 10 stakeholders and 88 touchpoints, up from 211 days, 6.8 stakeholders and 76 touchpoints in 2024. Reaching a buying committee of that size over nine months calls for a channel where you can target by role, seniority, company and industry, and stay in front of those people for the whole cycle.

The same research found LinkedIn Ads delivered a 121% return on ad spend, the highest of the major ad networks, and LinkedIn's share of B2B advertising budgets rose from 39% to 41%. For the established businesses we work with, LinkedIn now carries real pipeline expectations, and the standard for running it well has risen to match.

What this means for our clients

Our approach stays the same. We run organic and paid LinkedIn as one system, letting organic performance tell us which topics and voices land, then putting paid weight behind the content buyers already trust. We wrote about that system in more detail in Organic earns the trust, paid scales the reach.

What the certification adds is verification. Marketing leaders often need to justify their agency choice to a CEO, a CFO or a board, and a credential awarded by the platform itself is a quick, credible answer to the question of whether their LinkedIn spend is in capable hands. It also confirms that the structural pieces sit correctly behind every account we manage, from ownership and access to billing.

We run LinkedIn programmes for a B2B SaaS business, an ASX-listed travel technology company, an assistive technology provider and a fleet management group, among others. The certification reflects the standard we hold across all of them.

If your LinkedIn budget is growing faster than your confidence in how it is managed, we would be glad to take a look.
